Hello,
I am a bookkeeper and I apparently am using QuickBooks accountant to serve my clients. I got a new client using QuickBooks desktop version and I need to access his QuickBooks system. is there a way I can do this yet I am miles away from the client? If yes, kindly let me know how. TIA.
Hello,
If your client is using QB Desktop, then you would need to either remote into their machine somehow to access their file or they would need to email you an Accountants Copy of their file for you to do work and then you would email it back to them with your adjustments.
For the latter, you would also need a license for QB Desktop accountant on your computer.
Thanks MarshalA for your response.
You may purchase a one time license of QB Desktop Accountant edition to support your client. Make sure your QBD Accountant version is the same year version of their QBD or one year newer. Otherwise you may remote one of their computers by using a remote desktop app.

You will need another solution to manage their company file(s) anytime you want by internet connection.
