You can simply change the reconcile status, Lake effect.

There's a way to change the status as Reconciled so it will be included in the balance. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the affected account, and click on the View Register.
  3. Find the transaction. In the reconcile status column, repeatedly select the top line to change the status.
    • C - Cleared
    • Blank - Not cleared nor reconciled
    • - Reconciled
  4. Then click Save.

Hi there, @Lake effect.

There possible reason these transactions were the ones deleted during the previous reconciliation, instead of the duplicates.

However, the option to customize the reconciliation report to exclude deleted transaction in unavailable in QuickBooks.

Thank you for your reply.  I did what you said to mark the deposit cleared but the beginning balance on the reconciliation page was still wrong.  I did a mini reconciliation and a journal entry to adjust the beginning balance.  Now that is listed as undeposited funds.

Do you have any idea what would have caused that one deposit to become "uncleared"in the first place?
