Hi,
I had to move our Quickbooks file from OnPremises to a Remote Desktop Services 2019 (RDS) set up given the current COVID situation, so our uses connect to the office network through a VPN and then use Quickbooks remotely and no longer use the local Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions - Accountant Edition 20.0 that was installed on their laptops.
After installing quickbooks, applying the latest updates and finally moving the company files to the RDS setup, our users are able to access the company file and work almost normally, however, users are reporting that at random intervals the splash screens pops up from nowhere with no apparent reason.
Is someone aware of this and how to get rid of this issue?
Thanks,
FCQ.

Hello there, FCQ.
Welcome to the Intuit Community. I have a few easy troubleshooting steps you can try to remove the QuickBooks splash screen.
Let’s start by downloading and then installing the QuickBooks Tools Hub. This type of utility can help fix common errors on the desktop program.
Before launching the tool, make sure QuickBooks is closed. When you’re ready, let's go ahead and download it.
Here’s how:
When the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
Once done, open the company file and create any transactions.
If you continue to get the same result, perform the recommended steps in this article and proceed directly to Step 2: Run Quick Fix my Program: Opening QuickBooks splash screen displays and disappears without opening QuickBooks Desktop.
If there’s anything else I can help you with, post a comment in the Reply box. I’ll get back to assist further. Have a good one.

Thanks Rasa-LilaM, your suggested solution worked fine and the pop up is now gone.

Hi,
We are experiencing the issue described here, and I could not get the solution to work. The explanation was a bit confusing too, I installed the QuickBooks Tool Hub. With only 1 user logged in, and Quickbooks closed, I started the tool, and ran Quick Fix. Rebooted the server and issue remains.
Please note that the issue is with the splash screen not going away, Quickbooks 2020 works perfectly.
Can you provide step by step instructions on how to solve the issue of the splash screen popping up constantly to a user running Quickbooks 2020 on RDWeb in Windows Server 2019?
Connections tested using Chrome, Edge and IE from a Windows 10 laptop.
Thank you!

Hi @jcosta,
Thank you for the number of details you've included in your post. I'll point you in the right direction for support with this issue.
You already ran the Quick Fix option from the QuickBooks Tool Hub and still have the same issue. At this point, I suggest contacting our Technical Support team for further assistance. They can investigate as to why the QuickBooks Desktop splash screen doesn't go away.
Here's how:
In case you need it, check out other hosting providers in this article: What hosting providers are authorized by Intuit? It contains tables listing commercial and standard hosting providers.
I'll be around in case you need further assistance. Leave a comment below, and I'll get back to you.
Hello Rasa-LilaM,
Happy New Year!
I’m having the same issue with QBs splash logo.
When you suggest to run Quickbooks tool hub, you mean to run it in the server? Or in the user’s computer?
Because the connection is through RDP
Thanks in advance for your help
Regards
Thank you for joining the thread, Crismont.
You'll want to run the tool hub in the server where the company file is stored. If you still get the same behavior afterward, please contact our Support team to check this further using the steps that Ryan_M shared above. They are available on weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM PST.
