I recently upgraded to QB Accountant Desktop 2023. The Accountant Center will not refresh after I've reconciled an account. I click on the 'Refresh' button, but nothing happens. I have to completely close and reopen the Accountant Center, and then the correct balance and recon date info appears. Is there some setting I'm missing that enables the 'refresh' command?
Hi there, davetodd.
I'm here to help make sure you're able to refresh the Accountant Center in QuickBooks Desktop Accountant 2023.
Let's isolate this issue by utilizing the Verify Data tool. It identifies known issues within company files and informs users if their Rebuild Data utility needs to be used afterwards.
Here's how it's used:
If its results show a "Your data has lost integrity," message, this indicates there's damage in your file. You can use the Rebuild Data utility to fix it.
For future reference, check out this article to learn more about the reconciliation process in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm always here to listen and guide you more if you have additional concerns while managing the Accountant Center. Take care!
The ‘Verify Data’ process found no issues. Problem seems to be with the program - not the company file - as it is the same with all my company files. Any other suggestions?
I appreciate you following my colleague's solution and sharing the result, davetodd.
Let's perform another one to get the Accountant Center working back to normal. The QuickBooks Tool Hub is a utility that can fix common errors and issues encountered while using the desktop program. I'm here to help and guide you on how to lodge it.
Here's how:
Here's an article that goes over the process and functions of each launchpad: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

I neglected to mention it, but while carrying out the original suggestion, I did update my QB Tool Hub to the 1.6 version and ran the Fix Program utilities. Still no luck.
Thanks for providing updates about the steps you've performed, @davetodd. I'm here to give additional steps to help fix the issue.
To start, let's ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest release and your computer meets the minimum requirements to run the program. This is to ensure you have the updated components and fixes to avoid issues while using it.
If confirmed that everything is fine and you still having trouble accessing the Accountant Center, I highly recommend reaching out to our Technical support team. This is to further check your set up to determine the root cause of the issue. They can also provide additional troubleshooting steps to fix this. Here's how:

I'm having his issue too, and have been for several weeks. I use Quickbooks on my personal computer, and the server I log into for work, and none of the programs will update the accountant center after hitting refresh. It's terribly annoying.
I know how you wanted the Accountant center to work the way it used to. Let's make sure to perform the troubleshooting steps to fix the issue, sarahccpa.
But before we start, may I know if you have already tried the steps provided above? If not, you'll want to follow the solution given by my colleague Charies_M which is the Verify and Rebuild tool to resolve data issues.
If it's still not working, you can perform the rest of the steps provided. This ensures, that everything in your Accountant center will update and fixed. However, if nothing happens after performing all the possible solutions provided, I recommend reaching out to our Support Team so they can investigate why is this happening. To do so, you can follow what is outlined below:
Furthermore, QuickBooks Desktop provides general troubleshooting information to fix the update errors. To know more about this, read this article for more details: Fix QuickBooks Desktop Update Errors.

This is an issue with the program and it is prolific, affecting many customers. The troubleshooting that is being recommended here is a complete waste of the customer's time as it is not within their systems or there data files. Please speak with the engineers so that an update can occur that will resolve this - this issue is affecting 2021, 2022, 2023 software.... I have multiple clients within my accounting practice and clients are reporting this same issue.... appears to have started manifesting many months back after an update occurred.
I am also having this issue. It's not a problem with the data, but within the software itself. The Refresh "button" does nothing. The only way to have any changes reflected in the Accountant's Center is to close and re-open it (not QB itself, only the AC window), but very annoying when not realizing this and you're looking at cash balances that don't make any sense. Please correct this.
The refresh button now works, finally after about 2 years. Hurray!!!
Woo hoo! Still wasn't working just a few days ago, so this must have just happened. Thanks for letting me know!
Thanks for the update. I had stopped even trying so very happy it's finally working again!
