Adding freight to an estimate or invoice

What happened to being able to add freight to an estimate or paid invoice?

In the past I was able to manually add freight down by the sales tax area. I just tried adding freight to an estimate and am unable to do so. I've also been able to add freight after an invoice had already been generated, can't do so anymore.

Adding freight does not need to be added as a product. It is sometimes taxed, sometimes not.

How do I accomplish this in the new update?

Adding freight to an estimate or invoice

I appreciate your concern about adding freight fees to your estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). It's an essential step for accurate billing, JPS148. I'll be happy to guide you through the process.

First, enable the shipping fee option in your invoice or estimate settings. Here’s how:

  1. Go to +New menu, and under Sales tab choose Invoice or Estimate.

Once you have completed this setup, you can now add freight fees each time you create an Invoice or Estimate.
