Cathrine you are not working on getting this issue fixed, it is a lie, it has now been over a year and still nothing. Please stop repeating what all of your customer service reps keep saying.

Yea still not working April 15th 2022!! Yes you can log on via a web browser..... what's the point of the  app!!!

We’re aware that some customers that are using the iPad are having issues with the user interface. Our engineers are diligently working towards finding a permanent resolution.

 

While we are unable to tell when this issue will be resolved, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can add you to the list of affected users, and you'll receive an email notification once an update is available.

I’ve been with quickbook# for 5 years.. this is unacceptable… the format is all f-ed up. Both mini and larger iPads !    Please fix it !

Let me make it up to you by ensuring this gets resolved.

 

The QuickBooks Online application may not be updated, or the data may be full. These are possible reasons the formatting is off. Let's perform troubleshooting steps to resolve this.

 

To begin, let's update the app to make sure we have the latest features. Here's how:

 

  1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Select Updates in the App Store toolbar.
  3. Locate the QBO desktop app.
  4. Click Update.

 

Once done, let's reset the app data to clear its cache. It helps restore the application to its default settings. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to Help from the top menu.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Allow a moment for the process to complete, and then close the app.

 

If you get the same result, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to start a clean slate. You can check out this article to download the app again: QuickBooks Online Mobile App.

 

In the meantime, I'd suggest accessing your account via supported browsers

So I purchased an iPad pro when my Mac was not working anymore. I have spent multiple hours with Apple Care and Quickbooks. Quickbooks is not completely compatible with iPad’s. We spent ALLOT of money on the iPad Pro and had to purchase a Mac computer so I could do our bookkeeping. It takes hours for Quickbooks to admit that their online QB’s is not completely compatible with iPads. So unfortunate as their commercials make it look so easy to be on the job and send a client an invoice.

I recognize this is an old post, but it's an ongoing issue.  The browser version is far easier to work with, however, I cannot get it to work with my iPad.

I spent allot of time on the phone with Apple care and with Quickbooks support and found out that QB’s online is not compatible with an iPad Pro. It was so bad I ended up purchasing business checks (I am in the USA) as I could not get checks to print. We ended up purchasing me a new Mac desktop. When I found this out I was so mad with QB’s not making this known to anyone. I did inform Apple care of this as they apparently also were not informed of this.

Thank you for chiming into this thread. I'll share information about using a browser for QuickBooks Online.

 

Before we start, ensure that browser and the operating system of your iPad are updated. You can check the system requirements here: QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices. Also, for Apple products, your device will need to be running iOS 11.1 or newer.

 

If the same thing happens on your end after using the system-required browser and operating system, please clear the cache to fix browser issues.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click More.
  3. Choose More Tools, then Clear browsing data.
  4. Add a time range. Select All times to delete everything.
  5. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  6. Select Clear data.

Yes we are having similar problems.  Once we updated our iPads to the new apple ISO (16 I believe). the format totally changed, and how you write up invoices because much slower.

Yes I have done everything that your colleagues have said but it hasn't resolved the issue.  From some of the other quickbooks community comments they too have had issues with the new format of quickbooks, specifically not being able to multi select.  So hopefully the issues is being addressed in your coming updates.

I see you’ve been through a lot trying to fix this behavior in QuickBooks Online (QBO) application and I appreciate you for performing the steps provided by my colleagues. I'm here to direct you to the right support.

 

Since none of the resolutions work for you, we would need to dig deeper as to what's causing the wrong format To do so, I recommend connecting with one of our experts since they have more tools to perform a screen-sharing session.

 

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to Help and click on Contact us.
  3. Enter your concern and select Let's talk.
  4. Choose either Get a callback or Message an agent.

It's 2023 now, 6th July 2023 to be precise.

 

I hereby confirm that quickbooks payroll still not working on iPad either Safari nor Chrome.

 

I've been using this for my 2 business for two years, I'm in shock to find that after all these years. This simple issue hasn't been resolved.

 

I'm switching to something else for sure. It's jus ridiculour.

I want to ensure you can use your iPad to work with your QuickBooks tasks.

 

Just to clarify, have you already performed the troubleshooting steps shared by my colleague Ethel_A above? If you haven't yet, I suggest doing it so. 

 

If you get the same result, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

 

To reach them, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account using your computer.
  2. Click the Help button.
  3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chatbox, select Talk to a human and choose I still need a human.
  4. Select Contact Us.

Yes I have issue on my iPad 

 I pay monthly for independent business account and none of the browsers work

i am able to log in for like 5 seconds and then the site takes me back to log in page 

do I have to pay more for the ability to use the iPad quickbooks app ??

This isn't the experience we want you to have in using our product. Regarding your question, you don't need to pay more if you already have a plan to use the QuickBooks app.

 

In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to make sure the app is working fine again.

 

Make sure you have a stable internet connection and an updated app. Then, follow these steps to clear your app's data.

 

  1. Go to the Settings, then select Apps.
  2. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
  3. Select Storage
  4. Tap on Clear data.

 

Additionally, we need to perform troubleshooting on your browser to optimize it. Follow these steps: 

 

  1. Open Safari, then select Safari on the top left.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Tap Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
  4. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  5. Select Remove All, then tap Remove Now.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Close and Open the Safari app to apply the changes.

My freaking lord!  It’s now July of 2024, over 5 years since you posted this and the drop down selection issue is still happening on the most recent version of Safari on both iPads and iPhones.  I finally just sent feedback after trying to explain it to an Indian gentleman (who frighteningly did a screen share to see what was happening) but he had no suggestion other than to give feedback.  He then wasted more of my time and tried to sell me on Payroll services.  Will this ever be fixed?
