Big Problem with inbound external transfers not going to their respective envelopes

For the last 2 years, I have been transferring money from an external checking account directly into Quickbooks envelopes.  I noticed that in the beginning of March 2024  transfers were not being deposited into the envelopes and the status would be pending.  However, I noticed that the amount in my QuickBooks checking account was increasing.   It seems that the deposits are going into the checking account and not the envelopes.  After an absolutely horrible 2 week experience of trying to deal with Quickbooks offshore customer service, I am still not sure what's going on.  They said funds only go into the checking account and I have to manually transfer funds from the checking account to the envelopes.  That doesn't make sense because it was automatically going into the envelopes before.  Can this be fixed so I can initiate transfers from envelopes and have those transfers deposited directly into the envelopes?

Big Problem with inbound external transfers not going to their respective envelopes

I can't imagine the hurdle you've been through transferring money to your envelopes, eolmeda. Please know that your experience with the product is vital to us, and we take serious action towards your feedback on our services.

The support you spoke with was correct about putting money in an envelope. The process would be like this, from your QuickBooks Checking account, you can instantly add money to your envelope.

Moreover, if you're moving money to your envelope from an outside account, you're correct that this can be done directly to your envelopes. Nonetheless, they are moved via an ACH that would take up to 3 to 5 business days. Also, the money will be added first to your QuickBooks checking account and then automatically added to your envelope. This explains why the amount on your checking account is increasing and transactions were marked as pending as the amounts are still in the process of moving to your envelopes.

Furthermore, learn more about moving money in an envelope by referring to Put money in an envelope section in this article: Create envelopes to set your funds aside with QuickBooks Checking.

Big Problem with inbound external transfers not going to their respective envelopes

Thanks for the response, however, that is not what is happening.   All my external transfers starting from March 13th have not been deposited into my envelopes.  That is way past the 3-5 day time limit.  which is why the amount in my checking account is increasing.  I don't keep a lot of money in the checking account.  Its always going to an envelope.  According to customer service, they said the transfers will go to the checking account and I will have to manually transfer to the envelopes.  I tried to explain to them that it did not work like that before and It was going into the envelopes but that did not help.  I have spent the last 2 hours manually transferring funds from the checking account to the desired envelopes.

you are saying that I should be able to transfer from an external account into an envelope.  Its not working.  Can someone from technical support reach out to me so this can be fixed?
