Join nowI have QB enterprise soulutions V22. the black icon bar will not stay hidden. each time I start QB the icon bar is back even though hide icon bar is checked. I have to check top icon bar then hide icon bar and it stays hidden till I shut QB down and reboot it.
this has been an issue on and off for a long time (years) and at times was fixed then a new update will cause the same issue.
Please fix this Bug.

Keeping your view icon bar preference can help you work efficiently, @Bill17. I'm here to assist you in troubleshooting and accessing the feature menu conveniently.
When selecting the Hide icon bar under the View menu, this setting stays after closing your company file or exiting QuickBooks Desktop. I recognize the inconvenience of having to set your display all over again.
To resolve this on-and-off issue, we can start by running the Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool can fix common update errors you might encounter with the update. Follow the steps below:
Once done, go to Solution 1 in this article for detailed instructions: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows. If this doesn't solve the issue, proceed to Solution 2.

What's the "black icon bar"? I've never seen a black icon bar in QuickBooks...

Sorry see attached
Oh, that icon-bar. I see it as navy blue, not black, and always turn on the color option so it looks nearly white.
I tried hiding it and it stayed hidden for me when I restarted QuickBooks. Tried both Enterprise 22.0 and 2022.
What if you pick View | Left Icon bar and then restart. Does that stick? And if so, what if you then pick the Hide option and then restart?
This is what I get when I leave the left side Icon on and reboot. the funny thing is when I hide the icon bar the side bar goes away but the top bar is still there with no icons. the only way to hide it is to check top icon bar then check hide icon bar. This is a bug and I can't be the only one who has issues with it.
Thank you for your help seemed like a good idea.
Yea, that's weird.
