Join nowWhen I try to switch between Accountant View and Business View, the only thing that changes is that the cash flow shows up on the dashboard. The "+New" menu doesn't change, nor does anything else. I tried chatting with someone at support, and they said that this is correct - that the menu shouldn't change. Is that true? Because it isn't what I saw in an online tutorial, so I'm confused!
Yes, right now the primary difference of business view is the new cash flow report, MKug.
The business view is meant to help newcomers in QuickBooks Online to get started on the key workflows that matter most to small businesses. Also, Journal entries aren't visible in Business View but are still available in an Accountant's View. This is because Business View is tailored for small business owners without an accounting background.
On other hand, the + New menu doesn't change when switching them from two views. What you saw before may have been the old interface in QuickBooks.

Let me share the steps you need to change your view in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
Your default view is based on what you told us when you first set up QuickBooks. Rest assured, your accounts or data won't be affected when switching between them at any time.
If you're referring to these views, here's how you can switch between those two:
You can visit this article to learn more information about these views: Switch between Business and Accountant view in QuickBooks Online.

However, if this isn't the case, can you please share additional information on what you're trying to view within the QBO program?
Additionally, feel free to save these resources that will help you with personalizing your QBO account to whatever you need to change:
