Call from "Quickbooks Support Team" - Fraud?

@jackpot

Can you login to CAMPS and find you license status there?

Intuit won't bother calling you to remind you about the renewal. Sam is scammer.

You should change your phone number in CAMPS immediately.

Call from "Quickbooks Support Team" - Fraud?

Hello there, @jackpot.

Let me share some insights regarding dealing with fraudulent activities in QuickBooks.

Please be cautious of online scammers posing as Intuit QuickBooks representatives who may attempt to deceive you into providing sensitive financial or personal information. This fraudulent activity often involves unsolicited requests to wire money or disclose personal information via unfamiliar phone calls or messages.

As mentioned in the previous replies on this thread we don't call customers about plan payments unless a support team issue has been raised and a callback is scheduled. Typically, primary users will receive renewal emails.

For now, I agree with @Chrea suggestion to log in to CAMPS and find your license status. To check your license status, log in to CAMPS and navigate to the Products & Services section, which displays all your registered QuickBooks Desktop apps and subscriptions. From there, you can access license information and download any QuickBooks Desktop versions you need.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to camps.intuit.com. Or learn more about signing in.
  2. Locate your app or subscription in the Products & Services list.
  3. Select Details, then Download.
  4. Install QuickBooks Desktop.

For additional guidance, you can refer to the article: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

You can also reach out to our Customer Support Team to verify your subscription and report any suspicious incidents by following the instructions in the article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

Moreover, to prevent future occurrences, it's important to report scam calls to safeguard your security and privacy, please bookmark the following articles for information on Intuit's service email addresses and how to identify our official emails and websites:

Call from "Quickbooks Support Team" - Fraud?

I have received a few calls with the same issues. They ask to speak to whoever handles the QuickBooks or Accounts Payable.

I logged in to my Intuit and QuickBooks account, and advised them all my subscriptions are up to date and there are no payment error notifications. He insists this is a different subscription for other things like data back-up.

This time the call came from QB Support (719)323-6907

@dixieflower   It was a fraud call.  Hopefully you didn't give them any info.

I always tell them that I know they are scammers and if they don't stop contacting me, I will turn them in.  For the most part, they have quite calling.  I MIGHT get one call a year now, where I used to get 5 or 6.
