My main goal is to ensure you can save your estimates, Dawna. Let's work together to fix the error message.

Please note that some factors can cause errors when saving transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll provide the steps to resolve this issue.

Beforehand, I suggest taking note of the estimates' details so we can easily recreate the transaction once the error is resolved (the steps to fix this can lose the info entered).

First, I recommend logging out and logging back into your QBO account. Doing so refreshes your account for the updates to take effect. Then, recreate and save the entries again.

If the issue persists, too much cache or saved data can cause an error when saving transactions in QBO. In this case, follow these steps on how to resolve common browser issues while working in the program:

  1. Access your QBO account using a private/incognito browsing session. Make sure your browser is supported.
  2. Clear your browser's cache.
  3. Add Intuit as a trusted site.

In case none of these fixes the error, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check the cause. It'll also allow them to submit a ticket to our engineering team to alert them about the issue if necessary.

After saving the estimate,  you can convert it directly into an invoice after a customer accepts your estimate. This way, the two entries will be linked to avoid duplicates and discrepancies.

If you have additional questions or need further assistance when recording transactions or converting the estimates, please don't hesitate to reply here in this thread. I'm always here to assist you.
