I use multiple sites in QuickBooks Enterprise so that I can manage inventory in both my main warehouse and in my service vans. Most all Sales Orders generated however are fulfilled from the main warehouse and my sales people keep forgetting to select a site when they generate the sales order. Is there a way to set my warehouse as the default site and auto-populate anytime a new sales order is generated?

When creating a sales order, I'll provide some information about auto-populating a site.
Currently, neither the ability to auto-populate a site when creating a sales order nor the option to establish a default site location is available in QuickBooks Desktop. I understand that this would be extremely valuable to you and your company, so I've forwarded this idea to our Product Development Team. In this manner, the suggestions can be taken into account for a future update.
Feel free to fill me in if you need further assistance. I am here to help. Take care.
Thank you for getting back to us, @AChipOffTheOldBlock. I'll share some insights about auto-populating a site when creating a sales order.
QuickBooks Desktop cannot currently auto-populate a site when making a sales order. It also doesn't have the feature set of the ability to define a default site location. As I understand it, this would be advantageous to you and your company, so we will forward your recommendation to our Product Development Team to take the suggestion into account for a future update.
Let me know if you have additional questions about tracking inventory items. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
I seriously question sometimes if anyone on the QuickBooks Team actually reads the issue presented or if they just see a key word and run with it. Again, this is not relevant to my question. Thank you though @Ethel_A.
@AChipOffTheOldBlock, very helpful intro, very long answers, but when you go through the body, they don't make sense. They also have promising outros saying they'll assist further when we have more questions, but in reality, another agent will assist, not the one who say it.
I'd prefer reading answers from other users. short, direct to the point, and more informative.
just saying what i've noticed
I couldn't agree more @my-answer-is-nonsense

When creating a build, I have to manually go in an enter every stock location for every part. We are trying to move things real time so we have to move product from one cell to another by creating a build. The shop floor people hate this, they should be able to pick a bom, enter the quantity being built, then complete it to the next cell. Is there a work around for this?
