Can I use QuickBooks to track my employees time have them write up invoices but not let them view anything else?

Yes, QuickBooks makes it easy to track employee time while giving you the ability to set restricted access for your team, @kingsmanelectricllc.

To track employee time, you'll need a QuickBooks Time subscription.

Also, please note that the ability to customize access by selecting specific permissions for your employees is only available with the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced subscription.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon.
  3. Under the Company section, choose Manage users.
  4. Select Role and click Add role.
  5. Provide a name for the role and, if desired, include a description.
  6. In the Sales section, check the Invoices option.5555.png
  7. When finished, click Save Role.

If you have a different subscription, you can only select a Default role for your employees.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage users.
  3. Click on Add user.
  4. Choose the right role for your employees.8888.png
  5. Then, save the invitation.
