We use QuickBooks online and it has happened twice now that QuickBooks has randomly printed some checks two or three times when we are running our weekly checks. This results in us having to void the duplicate and triplicate checks. Why is this happening (again, it has only happened twice, the first time was a few months ago, the second time was today) and how can it be prevented?
Hello there, TJ423.
I'm here to ensure you can print check without error.
To start with, let's configure your printer settings. I'm here to guide you with the steps.
Here's how:

This reply does not address the problem as described in the original post.
Our checks are aligned and our Adobe is up to date.
The issue is the following: let's say we print 50 checks on Thursday. Of those 50, 5 will print twice. So we have to void the duplicate copies of those 5 checks. Sometimes, a check will actually print 3 times. This problem happens intermittently and very randomly.
Please advise.
Hi there, @TJ423.
It's good to know that your Adobe is updated and your checks are aligned when printing.
Since the duplicate copies only happen with random checks, it could be something to do with Adobe.
To sort this out, you may need to repair your Adobe. Here's how:
1. Close Acrobat/Reader and all open web browser windows.
2. Select the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
3. Type Control Panel, then press Enter.
4. Select Programs and Features.
5. Click Acrobat or Adobe Reader, then Uninstall/Change.
6. In the Setup dialog box, select Next.
7. Select Repair, then Next.
8. Click Install.
9. When the process is complete, select Finish.
10. Restart your computer.
11. Log back into QuickBooks Online, then try to print.

Did you figure out how to fix this?
Hello, bgoon.
I want to help you with the printing issues, but I need some more details about this.
Just to clarify, are you also having issues with the printed checks coming out multiple times?
And did you follow the solutions given by my colleague? I'd like to know this, so I can lay down the next steps to fix this.
Also, what other issues did you encounter when printing the checks?
More details would definitely help me come up with a resolution.
Did we discover why this is happening and how to prevent it going forward?
Thanks
