I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing messages that tell you that you haven't logged into Intuit for x many days? Today, I got one that it has been 8 days since my last log in. I updated my credit card last week so I HAVE logged in recently. But, otherwise, I don't really have a need to log in that I can see. What is the reason for this? I am on Desktop/Enhanced Payroll. Every time I log in, nothing has changed with payroll updates or anything else for that matter. Between this and the Ads to sell something, I find that QB is so slow to start every time I initiate tasks for the day. I pay $1500 a year for all the subscriptions and fees. Any explanation why QuickBooks/Intuit intrudes like this?
Hi there, @SDP.
We want to ensure that you have a positive experience when opening your company file in QuickBooks Desktop. Verifying your identity by logging in to your Intuit account can help you safeguard your data and account. This verification process aims to ensure that your account is only accessible to you.
Aside from that, the prompt log-in using your Intuit Account ID happens when you open or create a new company file, add a user, sign in to My Company, or while accessing Intuit User Account Management. This login makes managing your connected Intuit services easier and adds an extra layer of security and protection to your account.
In addition, there could be several reasons why QuickBooks Desktop is displaying unexpected behavior or experiencing performance issues. The following are some possible causes:
To fix it, we can run the QuickBooks Tool Hub to help fix common errors. For the best experience, we recommend using Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit. Before we start, let's secure a backup of your company file to reinstate your accounting data if you ever run into a problem with it, and proceed with the steps below:
If you still experiencing delays in using your company file, you can go over to Solution 2: Run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic tool from the Tool Hub or Solution 3: Rename the QBWUSER.ini file in this article: Fix issues when QuickBooks has stopped working.
Feel free to comment below if you require additional assistance with your company file. The Community is always ready to support you. Take care!

This canned response does not make sense. I am the only one out of our 3 employees who uses QuickBooks and its on MY desktop safeguarded with MY password. It is not accessible on any other device. We have been using Desktop since the 90's without any need for additional safeguarding. Quickbooks meddling and "safeguarding" seems to be where the risk is.

This also makes no sense. I am not sure what task I am doing other than opening up QuickBooks for my one company file. I am not creating anything new, adding users, etc. It doesn't make anything easier with this extra layer. I get a pop up that disrupts what I am doing and I have to log into Intuit which never goes smoothly or ignore the message (my preference).
Once I posted this, I did notice many threads about this. Glad its not just me but, disheartening to see that the problem has persisted and will continue to do so.
