hi, i have qb desktop mac and I'll be converting to qb online...
i read the following:
"You can only convert your QuickBooks Desktop data within the first 60 days of your QuickBooks Online company start date."
but my qb mac company started at the beginning of this year, how can I have my new online qb company also start from the beginning of this year, and convert and import all the data safely from my qb desktop mac to my new online qb?
thank you for your help! -todd

I believe you misunderstood the line. You will migrate the whole data from your QBD file to QBO. The start date = open your QBO account for first time. If you open the account for the first time on today (i.e March 18), you are allowed to purge your account in the next 60 days and reimport data from QBD file anytime. This policy is not applicable for QBO Simple Start.

ahh, thank you fiat lux! question: wouldn't I set my qbo company start date as an 1 of this year since that's how my qbd company start date is set up (?)
You will see the transaction dates in your QBD file = QBO account. There is nothing to do with the start date to open QBO account for the first time.
ty! :)
