Hi,
I use the Copy Purchase Order feature often. The Attachments I've attached to POs are NOT copying when I use the Copy feature.
Is there another setting I need to apply to include the PO attachments when I copy?
Yes, I know the previously used Attachments are located in the "Show Existing" link - however, this section is not searchable which means I am scrolling through 100s of files AND in its current listing I also cannot tell if I am using the most recent file.
Thank you!
Corina
I want to ensure you can copy the attachment of your Purchase Order (PO), Corina. I recognize the challenges with attachments not copying automatically.
The Copy Purchase Order feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential for streamlining your workflow and saving time. It allows you to duplicate existing purchase orders. It helps you quickly create new orders based on previous ones, ensuring accuracy and consistency in your purchasing process.
To use the Copy PO effectively and ensure a smooth experience, let's perform basic troubleshooting steps. Clearing accumulated browser cache and cookies can resolve issues caused by stored website data, ensuring optimal performance.
First, let's access your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
Once done, copy the PO again. If it works, switch back to your regular browser. Then, clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.
Additionally, to view attachments linked to a Purchase Order (PO) in the program, access them via the Show Existing link. We recognize your concern about distinguishing recent from older attachments and the inability to search within this section.
Currently, searching within the Show existing section for attachments is unavailable in QBO. Therefore, you'll have to manually review attachments to locate the document. It's to ensure you're using the latest attachment. We also suggest checking dates or other identifying details within the attachment.
Furthermore, you can always scan through this reference, which talks about adding PO to expenses: Learn how to add an accepted purchase order to a transaction for your vendor.
Please share with me here should you have additional questions about purchase order attachments. I'm always around to help.
I tested this problem of the Attachments not copying to the duplicated PO on the following:
QBO App for Windows
QBO App for Mac
QBO Chrome
QBO Safari on Mac
QBO Safari on iPhone
It is not a Browser/Cache problem.
