I want to be able to create multiple Invoice templates that have different email messages.
Right now, if you create one Invoice template, and then create a second template, with a different email message than the first template, the message you type in the second template will then change the different message you had in the first template.
Why can you not have different messages in different templates? Why must they all be the same? This should be changed.
It's good to see you here in the Community, @embersllc.
At this time, QuickBooks has only one default email message sent with sales forms. Thus, creating different email messages for different invoice templates isn't available.
I understand that this option can help save you time editing email messages when sending invoices to your customers. For now, I suggest submitting feedback directly to our product engineers. This way, they can review your request and add it in future updates. To submit feedback, you can click the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit.
You may want to view the status of your sales transactions in QuickBooks. You can go to the Sales menu and select All Sales.
Our Community forum is always open to help you again if you need further assistance on this concern. Wishing you continued success.
Mark,
Thank you. I have submitted my feedback to to your Product Engineers. What is the response time?
I appreciate your feedback about adding another email address for different invoice templates, @embersllc.
Currently, we’re unable to provide you with when the feature will be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Every request is subject to review by our product developers. Thus, depending on the number of requests made by the consumers.

Not only the Emails but also the contents within the Invoice itself. In my business we send several different types of invoices and the notes in the invoice as well as the Email need to have specific information. QuickBooks Desktop this worked flawlessly as you could pick your template and your preloaded information was ready to go. This is super time consuming having to fill in the notes on each invoice as well as the Email. I am looking for another accounting software!
Hi, is solution to this? We too need to do different invoices for different clients, but no matter what we do, if we change something in one invoice, it also changes for ALL invoices. We cannot keep modifying templates every time we send an invoice.
Thank you.
Welcome to the Community space, @Rachel06.
As mentioned by my colleagues above, the option to create an invoice template with different email messages is unavailable.

Here's how:
For now, we can only make changes to the template whenever you send an invoice.
Additionally, I'll be sharing the following articles to help personalize and manage your invoices in QBO:
Thank you for your patience while we work on this. Feel at ease to get back to this thread if you have other concerns with QuickBooks. I'll be more than happy to help. Please take care.
Hi Amy-
Our company has a very similar requirement regarding different messages/information for separate invoice templates. What was your internal workaround given that Quickbooks changes the messaging on all invoice templates to be the same?
Creating multiple invoice templates that have different email messages is a great functionality, dromano.
As of now, this feature isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, I recommend making changes to the template whenever you send an invoice.
I can see how this functionality would be beneficial to your business. I encourage sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. It helps us improve the features of the program. I'll show you how:
I'm all ears if you have other feature concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO. You can drop a comment below, and I'll help you out. Keep safe!
Quickbooks still lacking this feature is pretty frustrating after seeing it requested a couple of times online in the last 5 years. Additionally, there should at least be a warning or a footnote when informing the use that changing email contents on one invoice template changes email contents on all invoice templates.
