I'm seeing several bin locations showing up on my reports with a quantity of 0 on hand. Some also show lot #'s in the bin even though there is a 0 balance. How can I clear all of those bins so they don't show up on my report.
I'd be glad to help you clear all your empty bin locations so they don't show up on your reports in QuickBooks Desktop, Dytrt.
If there no transactions associated with those empty bin locations, you can delete them through the Inventory Site List. Here's how:
However, if the bin location is assigned to a transaction, you can simply make it inactive.
Once done, you can now pull up your reports without these empty bins. I recommend customizing the report to get the specific details you need. You can also memorize it to save its current customization settings. It serves as your record and helps you quickly access it for future use.
Additionally, you can take a look at this write-up: Multiple Inventory Sites. It provides more details on what other reports you can pull to track your inventory at different locations in QuickBooks Desktop.
This should get you moving today, Dytrt. Don't hesitate to let me know if I can be of additional assistance while working in QuickBooks Desktop or if you have any follow-up questions in mind. I'm always here to keep helping. Have a good one!
I should have been more clear. I don't want to delete the actual bin location, just the data showing in it. When I have 0 on-hand in a bin, I don't want the reporting to show previous part numbers that were in those bins, along with their lot #'s. I want those to disappear when the value of that part number hits 0. Some of the bins below have product in them and that I want to see. But the others with 0 on hand I don't want to see the old part number or the old lot #.

Hello @Dytrt,
As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to remove an item with 0 quantity on hand under a bin location. With this, let's consider exporting an Excel copy of your report so you can remove the items in question.
To do so:
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can work with your report in an Excel file: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.
