Estimate says “Invoice” and “balance due “

Why do my estimates say invoice # , balance due, view invoice when this is specifically an estimate created from the estimate area of quickbooks? This is very frustrating and embarrassing when are customer contacts me thinking I have sent them an invoice 0C954BD8-E4DC-4123-AAAF-556E57F53254.jpeg

That behavior is indeed strange, WilliamH1990.

There are times when your browser becomes full of site data causing problems in QuickBooks Online. To check if this is a browser-related issue, you can open your QuickBooks using an incognito or private window. This can help us rule out any cache-related issue that might've caused the problems.

Before doing, I suggest updating your Operating System to the latest version. Also, ensure your QuickBooks Online application has the updated version.

Now use these shortcut keys to utilize a private or incognito window:

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

If it's now working well, you'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This will delete the accumulated junk files and enhanced your browsing experience.

When you're done clearing the cache, close any browser instances to complete the process.

Also, make sure you're using a supported and updated browser for QuickBooks Online.

Estimate says “Invoice” and “balance due “

We'd really want to have this sorted out to make sure the right attachments are sent, WilliamH1990.

Thanks for sharing a screenshot and for making sure that the transaction was created in the estimate section of QBO. I tried it in my own QuickBooks and received an actual estimate in my email.

As you can see, there's no balance due and only shows the estimate amount.

Because of this, we need to take a closer look to determine why a different type of transaction was sent. For us to do that, please contact our phone or chat support agents. They can screen-share with you and gather more information to take a closer look at this and make sure an estimate is sent.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner of your QBO account.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human" in the chatbox, then press Enter. Then, type in the same keyword and press Enter one more time.
  3. Select No.
  4. Choose between Chat with us or Have us call you.

I'll be around if you have more questions for us. We'll make sure that everything is taken care of.
