Estimates and quotes

We do quotes and send them to customers. I can not find a template in quickbooks that say "Quote" only 'Estimate" . Is there any way to change "Estimate" to say " Quote" ?

Helping you change the template name from Estimate to Quote is quick and easy,

You can customize and change the Title name of the template or create a new one for the Quote.

Here's how:

  1. Click Lists at the top menu bar and choose Templates.
  2. From the template lists. right-click anywhere and tap New.
  3. Choose Estimate.
  4. Under Selected Template, click Manage Templates.
  5. Pick out or select Quote.
  6. Hit OK.

You can change the template name from estimate to quote through the Additional Customization window.

You can take a look at this article to help guide you with utilizing your templates in QuickBooks Desktop as well as on what other information you can add: Use and customize form templates. Also, this will provide you steps on how to import or export template forms.

If you have any other customization concerns or need help with anything in QuickBooks, please let me know. I want to make sure you're taken care of. Have a great rest of your day!

Estimates and quotes

 Good morning, @glenile

Thanks for following up with us. I'm happy to provide additional insight into seeing Create Quote from the Customer and Jobs center.

At this time, the ability to right click and have the option to create quotes is currently unavailable. However, I understand how this would be beneficial for you and  your business. I've submitted a feedback request to our product development team, so this can be considered in a future update. In the meantime, the best suggestion to use for a work around would be the steps provided by my colleague above.
