Future effective date on an import file for a price change

I want to apply a sales price change to our products and make it effective as of a future date.  

 

Can you even use a future effective date OR do you have to time it just right - meaning if I want the price changes to become effective in the future do I have to wait until that time to do the import, or could I import the changes today using a future effective date on the import file and then any invoices dated PRIOR to the effective date will continue to use the old pricing?

Good day! Allow me to assist you in importing your products and services.

 

Currently, we're unable to set an effective date when importing the items. This means that the changes are effective immediately. 

 

This can be a great feature when importing data like products and services. I suggest you send feedback to our developers and let them know that you need to set a future effective date. Click the Gear icon and select Feedback.
