Has anyone made the same mistake as me and overstated the amount of tax to be deducted resulting in a $0.00 cheque being recorded as paid by the system??

I want to ensure you're able to track your tax amounts accordingly in QuickBooks. Therefore, I would like to ask a few verifying questions. 

Are you trying to adjust your sales tax amount or payroll liability? What did you specifically do to complete the process? Can you provide more details about your tax concern? Any additional info will help me provide the appropriate resolution of the issue.

Sorry about that, wasn't exactly clear was it!  Payroll taxes is was I am trying to remove.

Thanks for providing that clarification. You can delete the employee paycheck if that is something you are wanting. Here's how:

1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
2. Select Paycheck list.
3. Select the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select Delete or Void.
4. Select Yes.
