How can I edit a check trasaction from a transaction report?

Hello there, George71.

Let's troubleshoot this issue to regain your ability to edit check transactions from the transaction report.

Sometimes, browsers can accumulate frequently accessed pages, causing issues when accessing or editing transactions. To resolve this, refresh your browser by clicking the Refresh icon, pressing F5 (on Windows), or Command-R (on Mac) to reload the page. Once refreshed, try editing the check transaction again.

If the issue continues, sign out of your QBO account completely. Wait a few moments, then reconnect by logging back in. You can also try opening QuickBooks in an Incognito window for a clean session or switch to a different supported browser for better compatibility.

If you're still unable to edit transactions directly from reports, you can use this manual workaround to access and edit the check transaction. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Dashboard tab.
  2. Navigate to Expenses and Pay Bills, and select Expense transactions.
  3. Locate the Check transactions and click View/Edit.
  4. Now you can edit the transaction details, and once done, click Save and Close.
