I was able to find the solution on another thread. I added services for each employee and put their rate in and then in QB Time I assigned those items to them. It worked perfectly and now their billable rate comes through.
Good evening, @spriddleluck.
It's great to see you back in the Community. Allow me to share some insight into the billable rate to time entries in QuickBooks Online.
I can see how beneficial this could be for your business. However, for now, you'll have to manually enter the billable rates.
I recommend submitting feedback to our Product Developers through this link. They'll be able to review your request and try to add the details in the near future.
Check out our Blog site to keep up with what's new in the system.
Feel free to come back if you have any more questions. Have a great day!
are there any other apps that will bring the billable rate into Quickbooks online into the timesheets?
Thanks for getting back to this thread, @spriddleluck.
You may search for third-party applications that integrate well and bring the billable rate from Quickbooks Online into the timesheets. Though, we're unable to provide recommendations on which one to use.
I suggest you visit the QuickBooks Apps site and look for an app that meets your business needs. You can also do this inside your company, just go to Apps on the left panel and then enter a keyword in the search field.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with connecting billable rate to your time entries. It’s always my pleasure to help you out. Have a nice day!
Thank you for your reply. I spent the afternoon testing apps and couldn't find one that brought in the rate. Any chance qbo is working on adding this field to the employee details so it would populate the timesheet? This seems like quite a limitation of the software.
Hi there, @spriddleluck.
I can see that this is a very relevant function in your daily task in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to share how to submit feedback to enable this option in QuickBooks Online.
Since this option isn't available in QuickBooks, we can send product suggestions to our developers.
Here's how:
1. Select the Gear icon.
2. Select the type of feedback in the box.
3. Click the Next button to submit.
Furthermore, if you encounter problems or errors while exporting hours from TSheets, please see this article: Error exporting hours between TSheets and QuickBooks. It includes a step-by-step guide for fixing the mapping of your payroll items so that the export process runs smoothly.
If you have any more queries about managing your vendors and customers, please post them here. I'd be delighted to assist you more.
