Sorry, to the right
This is software I pay for I should have control of whether I get solicited or not! I chose not to have annoying pop ups in the setting but Discover Hub over rides it. Its distracting and annoying! Intuit should fix this its going to run off more people than its going drag in!
Try to go inside that box and move it to the right. There is the x close button.
Thanks but it is not movable. I cannot rearrange it or move it.
try to move inside that little pop up and move right, like there is something there
It's like the pop up box is not showing the whole box contents. Do not move the box. Move in it.
Tracy don't waste you're time on this believe me I've tried everything. Its something Intuit should have fixed a long time ago!
I totally agree. My pop ups have, for some reason, stopped happening since I complained. That probably doesn't have anything to do with it, but I'd like to think someone there at Intuit is taking notes.
This is working for me. The little pop up is like a small screen which moves right and left. on right is the button. But you can wait for them to fix it.
Tried that, (see my screenshot post back a ways) it does not include the Discovery Hub only the how to's and reminders. I went back and found that this Discovery hub was in the Release 5 (R5) April 2021, so for over a year we have put up with it then began begging for it to be removed from the quickbooks and go back to the New Releases tab under the Help Tab where it used to reside. Now that we know which release it came in, my suggestion as before, is to go to the origination code, remove that code or fire the originator of the code and then remove it..Either way is fine so long as the Discovery Hub is removed. I haven't written in a couple months trying to patiently wait for it to be fixed. But it is still here, still popping up and still being a pain.***chanting**** REMOVE THE DISCOVERY HUB, REMOVE THE DISCOVERY HUB, REMOVE THE DISCOVERY HUB
Once again, "lip service" to issues incorporated into a program paid for that interrupt work schedule after purchase. Quickbooks should take action to correct customer complaints vs pleasant responses as repeatedly seen when these issues are reported. Unwanted pop-ups should have an option to turn-off and keep setting preferences after an update to retain such.
Unfortunately they have made it so the Discovery Hub stays in place when you check the preferences tab for "turning Off pop up messages. It still comes up and interrupts my work schedule with unwanted pop-up's
I do not want to close it but remove it from opening in the 1st place. Lets direct a solution not a work-around.
I totally agree, the completely moronic discovery hub is enough to make me look for another book keeping software. Please advise on how to delete it permanently, I do not care to be inundated with Intuit's marketing. Enough. Same with their constantly asking me to log in to my Intuit account. That's why I have the desktop version, so I don't need to log in and share my usage parameters with the prying world. F**k off Intuit - or I'll go somewhere else for my book keeping software. (oops - their artificial intelligence prevented me from saying what I think - by using a 'bad' word... yet another reason to go elsewhere)

Please provide an option to Remove Discovery Hub.
It blocks items that I want to access.
It also does not allow me to close it if I accidentally click on it until the entire video has paid.
Annoying and a waste of time.
We don't want you to feel this inconvenience, @cmatthews1704. I want to ensure your issue with removing the Discovery Hub pop-up is taken care of.
I understand that unnecessary pop-ups can affect your time while navigating QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). If you haven't yet, let's turn off the pop-up ads in QBDT to remove unnecessary pop-ups. Here's how:

I have had Turn off pop up messages for products and services checked for quite some time now and it doesn't stop the annoying login to your account window or the Discovery Hub pop ups about new features and such. Just like everyone else complaining here, I paid for this product so I should have the ability to turn OFF such pop ups and not be disturbed by them. Obviously, Intuit Support is not interested about this issue or they would have already done something about it. I say a Class Action Lawsuit is in order for all the lost time and aggravation this is causing for a product we paid for. Maybe if Intuit loses some money over this, their ways will change.
This is BS. It was bad enough I was forced to buy a new license to the tune of now $400 every three years, as well as the expense of the payroll option I purchased since 2014. When QB jammed this so-called "Discovery Hub", a.k.a. ADVERTISING GARBAGE down my throat I turned all of my employees into contract laborers, canceled my QB payroll account, and will NEVER pay another cent for QBP or any of its related services ever again. Did QB get the message? oh, heck no. When I launch the program while connected to the web I get SEVERAL popups telling me I MUST sign into my canceled online account, even though I have pop ups disabled in the EDIT preferences section. Screw you. Hope your ignorant bean counters are real happy, this type of arrogant animalization of my personal time and space is costing loyal customers like me to bail out, and, trust, NEVER come back. Again, I checked the "TURN OFF POP UPS" ages ago in my QBDesktop Pro immediately following the extremely irritating, incessant BS known as "DIscovery Hub". It did NOT turn off the constant demands to log into online account to keep current - which I do NOT want to do! LEAVE ME ALONE, good grief, get a frikkin clue. Out. And good riddance. Never again. Eight years was all I could stomach.
The discovery hub does not show up on my QB2021 Pro, since I added these lines to my Windows host file:

QuickBooks I would like to know the purpose of having me login to the website in order to use my 2019 version that's on my computer? Seems kinda fishy like am I giving you access to my company file or what's going on here?
Discovery Hub still sucks by the way!
I hear your sentiments, MATTSPWS.
The system will asks you to log into your account via website if you want to configure your Intuit account. Nevertheless, if you need to use your QuickBooks Desktop 2019 version, you can stay on the file.
Here's a helpful article that will guide you to manage your data safely and easily: Access and manage your personal data from the One Intuit Account Manager.
Keep in touch with me if you have further concerns about accessing your company file. I'll be around whenever you need further assistance.
This is a pop up that shows when I login to 2019 it actually delays startup until I login via the website.
I agree with MATTSPWS. The "Discovery Hub" and its popups are SUPER ANNOYING.
C'mon Quickbooks, you can do better.
Hey there Candice C on the QuickBooks Team... You mean you work for Intuit and you aren't even aware of Discovery Hub or know where it is located on the window in the desktop program? REALLY??? Let me help YOU out. I have attached a screen shot of where it is, so you can familiarize yourself with this really irritating "feature" that we are all trying to get rid of.
Could you please get your supervisor to get on this line and tell us how to stop the annoying popups from discovery hub and better yet turn it off for good?
