How do I save my work?

I can't find the SAVE key.  It used to be at the bottom right side.

How do I save my work?

I’d be glad to address your concern about the missing Save button in your QuickBooks Online account, @jallis10

To clarify, may I know what specific transaction you’d like to Save? This way, we can check if there is a reported issue with this matter. I’d also appreciate it if you include a screenshot so I can get on the same page.

At times, too much cache stored in a browser can cause unexpected behavior with its product. This affects the program’s performance, which can be the reason why the Save option disappeared.

For now, we can run some basic troubleshooting steps to verify if it’s a browser issue. Let’s open your QuickBooks account using a private window or incognito mode. It won't use the data from the existing webpage cache, so it’s a good spot to start with.

Here are the shortcut keys:

  • For Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge browsers, press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari, press Command + Shift + N

Once done, try to save your work again. If this works, you’ll need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies to refresh the system. This improves its performance as it deletes the stored data. You can also switch to other browsers to see if the problem is with the one you're currently using.

If you’d like to add some information, please don’t hesitate to reply in this thread. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a great day.

How do I save my work?

To save a file using a shortcut, press either Ctrl + S on a PC or Command + S on an Apple computer. If supported, the program either saves the file as its existing name or opens a save window for a new file.

How do I save my work?

Having Same problem with hotkeys and  quick keys. I'm just new to quickbooks and bookkeeping, but it seems like I could be automating a lot of the repetitive processes I do in quickbooks. Surely I'm not the first, and in the spirit of not reinventing the wheel, I was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations about how to speed things up and reduce errors. I'm looking into things like macro software, autohotkey and autoit, etc... but I'm not sure what the best course would be - and i'd rather only learn one new language if I'm going to learn any. Any suggestions or favorite scripts would be very much appreciated.                                myccpay account
