I delete an invoice for error, but I already sent to my customer, so when he sent me a payment, I do not have an invoice in file, how do an new invoice with the invoice number that I delete

How I can add an Invoice that I delete for error?

Once an invoice is deleted in QuickBooks Online (QBO), there's no way to recover it, raymextransinc. However, you can recreate the invoice by copying the details from the deleted invoice and entering them into a new one. We’ll explain the steps clearly and guide you through the process to resolve your issue.

 

QBO has a helpful feature called the Audit Log, which keeps track of all activities and changes within your account. It records details about the deleted invoice, allowing you to view its information. You can use the Audit Log to find the details of the deleted invoice and manually recreate it in your records. Here’s how to do it:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. Use the Filter to narrow the results by User, Date, or Events.
  3. Click View in the History column to open the Audit History.
  4. Check the details of the deleted invoice.
  5. Click Copy to new invoice and select Confirm to recreate the invoice.
  6. Click Save or Review and Send to finish.

You can update the invoice number to match the one you deleted.
