I'm glad you reached out for assistance with managing inventory in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Diego. Let me provide you with information about inventory counts.
Currently, blocking invoices if your inventory count falls to zero (0) is unavailable. However, you can set reorder points to let you know what’s running low and what’s out of stock.
There are two ways to set up your products' reorder points. First, if you have new products, you can enter reorder points on the Reorder point box. Second, if you have saved products that don’t have reorder points, you can edit these products to add them.
Let me show you how:
- Go to Settings and select Products & services.
- Find the product you want to have a reorder point.
- Select Edit in the Action column.
- In the Reorder point field, add the threshold when you should reorder more stock.
- Select Save.
Also, you can prioritize ordering the products you need the most by going to Settings and clicking Products & services. At the top, you’ll quickly see if you have low-stock or out-of-stock items. Hit Low stock, Out of stock, or See all next to either option to filter for those products.
Moreover, it is important to note that this feature is only available for QBO Plus and Advanced users. If you're using a QBO Simple Start or Essentials, I suggest upgrading your subscription to enjoy this feature.
