To ensure that QuickBooks tracks your trips accurately, it's important to check your device's location settings and allow the app to run in the background. If the app isn't permitted to run in the background, it will only track trips when it's open and active, which can lead to frequent interruptions in mileage tracking.
Here’s how to enable background running for the app:
On iOS (iPhone and iPad):
- Open the Settings on your iPhone or Ipad.
- Scroll down and select the QuickBooks app.
- Tap on Location and select Always.
- Enable the Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh, and Cellular Data options.
- Close your settings.
If you see a message about background location use, select Always Allow. Don’t select the While Using the App, or Only While Using options, as these will prevent the app from consistently tracking your mileage.
On Android (phone or tablet):
