You can block pop-ups by changing your browser's settings, @katy20. Each browser has settings to manage pop-ups and redirects, helping you stop promotions and notifications while using QuickBooks Online.
You are likely getting pop-up ads because your browser's pop-up blocker is possibly disabled. Here are the steps to block the pop-ups for Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari:
For Chrome:
- Go to Settings, select Privacy and Security.
- Choose Site Settings, and open Pop-ups and redirects.
- Set QuickBooks to Block to prevent pop-ups related to promotions.
For MS Edge:
- On you MS Edge, click the Three-Dot Menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Cookies and site permissions.
- Click Pop-ups and redirects, then toggle the setting to Block and add QuickBooks Online to the blocked sites list.
For Mozilla:
- Click Tools in the menu bar.
- Select Settings.
- Click Privacy and Security located on the left side.
- Select Block Pop-up windows below the Permission section.
- Click OK.
- Exit and relaunch the browser.
