how to email statements

QuickBooks only sends statements as PDFs by email - there's no built-in option to send as JPG.

If you need to send as JPG, here's a workaround:

1. Create your statement in QuickBooks
2. Click **Print or Preview** to view it
3. Take a screenshot (Windows: press **Windows + Shift + S**)
4. Save the screenshot as a JPG
5. Email it manually outside of QuickBooks

**Or convert the PDF to JPG:**
1. Save/download the statement as PDF
2. Use a free online converter like ilovepdf.com or smallpdf.com
3. Upload the PDF → download as JPG
4. Email the JPG manually

Can I ask why you need it as a JPG instead of PDF? There might be a simpler solution depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

how to email statements

Hi there, @bluemagic.

Just to make sure I point you in the right direction, so could you clarify what you mean when you say you don’t want to use Adobe to send emails? Are you referring to preventing Adobe Reader from automatically opening when you send statements from QuickBooks? Or are you looking to save the statements in a different format, such as JPG instead of PDF?

If your goal is to avoid having Adobe Reader open when sending statements, you can bypass this entirely by sending statements directly through QuickBooks by going to the Customer hub. Before doing so, please know that QuickBooks only sends statements as PDFs by email.

Here's how to email statements:

  1. Go to All apps, then Customer Hub.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Choose the customer whose statements you want to review.
  4. Under the Action column dropdown, select Create statement.
  5. Choose your desired date range from the Date dropdown.
  6. Select the specific statement you want to review.
  7. To email the statement as a PDF attachment to one or more recipients, select Send.
  8.  After composing the email, select Send statement.

On the other hand, if you need the statements in a JPG format, I agree that the workaround suggested by Wayne is a great solution.
