How to report fraudulent member?

Quickbooks makes it so difficult to report a fraudulent member. I posted a question to the community and within a minute receive a private message asking me to call a number for support ASAP. This is a scam and there is no way to report this member making this community a unsupervised and a joke. You can't even find a phone number anywhere on their site to report fraud. Quickbooks need to stop hiding their information and post a number promiently so it's paying customers can contact someone directly before someone becomes a victim.

How to report fraudulent member?

I followed the link posted https://security.intuit.com/contact-us It doesn't give an easy way to report scammers. We keep getting calls from Leo 800-986-9213 ext. 9870 telling us our payments are being declined and want our credit card info. I knew it was a scam from the first call. I checked our account and all payments have gone through as well as researched the emails thanking us for payments. I contacted QB on chat and after that research found that we are in good standing.

I agree there needs to be an easy way for us to report this to QB.

How to report fraudulent member?

1) Intuit Scam is running openly all over google, including fake members in this community pretending to be from Intuit Support. Even if Intuit might have disabled the traditional way to paste phone numbers, the scammers use symbols to create those numbers which probably cannot be detected by the Intuit AI or however way Intuit is monitoring them at the moment.

2) Their are over a dozen websites in the Google search result pages which show up as soon as you enter a QuickBooks keyword to get help. For example try this: QBCFMonitor Service not running on this computer, Type it as it is in google search and the first 3 websites that appear belong to the same scamming company based in India. They manipulate google SEO results to stay on top of google and create many fake websites to compete with their fellow scammers.

3) Intuit has banned some of these websites well or google did because Intuit complained about these sites using their logo and claiming to be Intuit but that did not stop them from continue scamming they ended up creating more websites just incase they get banned but they can keep getting support calls form QuickBooks users to scam them.

4) If Intuit is serious I can help Intuit to overcome these scams and report the complete list of fake websites blogging on QuickBooks Errors which right away scares the customers because as soon as you tell them that the error occurred because your company file is corrupted.

5)  FYI: Some of these companies charge between 3000 to 10,000 USD telling users that the company files is corrupted and they ask these sort of money by looking at the company file size, finding the size of the company through google search and so on. SO they make about 200,000 thousand dollars a month claiming to be intuit and scamming Intuit Customers.

6) Oh ya and now through this scams they also have the database of QuickBooks Users and huge one which they keep calling every now and then using scary tactics to get more money out of the user.

Expert TIP: When you search on google to find a solution to a QuickBooks Error and See a phone number on their website for support is a scam. Because Intuit doesn't provide one :D

Hi Report9,

I appreciate your time posting this information in the Community. Keeping your account safe is one of our top priorities. We work together here as a team to make QuickBooks a secure place to do business.

You're right. There are several scam websites/supports that will convince you that there’s a problem with your company file. Then, they will offer a fix to the problem, but these fraudsters are really after your money or personal information.

Please know that we have a website where you can report phishing emails and potential technical support scams. You can report the fake websites blogging on QuickBooks errors here: https://security.intuit.com/contact-us.

Lastly, I recommend reading our security tips to learn how to identify and avoid phishing and fake customer support scams.

Feel welcome to reach out to me again if you have any concerns or questions. I'm always here to help.

I got the following two fraudulent emails claiming to be Geek Squad:

  1. This. It says "If you have any questions call our support hotline at [Removed]  with your Invoice Nu...
  2. This. It says "If you have any questions regarding this order please call us at [Removed]"

Please stop these users from scamming the general public using your service.
