How to restrict Change of date in transfer slip

Thanks for reaching out to us, @Mosesose

I'm here to share information about the feature that your are looking for.

Currently, QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) does not provide a direct option to restrict users from changing or backdating the date on stock transfer slips.

In QuickBooks POS, the available user roles are more focused on general point-of-sale and inventory management tasks, rather than providing the level of accounting-specific permissions found in the desktop version.

While you can set user permissions to control access to certain features and modules, there is no explicit option to make the "Date" field on a transfer slip read-only or disable it entirely.

The closest workaround you can implement in QuickBooks POS would be to:

  1. Educate and train your users on the importance of maintaining accurate transaction dates.
  2. Implement internal policies and procedures that discourage users from modifying or backdating transfer slips.
  3. Closely monitor inventory transactions and investigate any suspicious date changes.
  4. Consider implementing a supervisory approval workflow for all inventory transfers, even if you can't directly restrict the date field.

Additionally, here's a link that covers all the tasks you can do when using QuickBooks Point of Sale. Just choose a topic that'll fit your concern: QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) FAQ.

If you have an opinion about QuickBooks features, please feel free to share it with me in this feed. I appreciate the chance to respond
