I use Quickbooks online, and Square as my sole POS, inventory management and sales data software.
I made what I now realize is a huge mistake, I activated the Square sync app in QBO and imported the last 12 months of sales transactions. What I see now is that each individual sale needs attention to get my balance in QBO back in order. There are thousands of transactions and some are as low as $1.00 This is a complete waste of my time. I am looking for some way to reverse importing these sales. In fact I don't need any sales tracking in QBO as it is redundant to the data I am utilizing effectively in Square software.
Is it true that the only way to get rid of all this sales data in QBO is by going into each individual sale and deleting or voiding it?

SaasAnt Transactions Deleter App worked much better, no limits on how many deletes per month like the other app mentioned.
That app doesn't work at all. It finds the transactions but the delete button doesn't work.

To get those Square transactions reversed, you'll want to use a third-party application. You may refer to our Allstar @Fiat Lux - ASIA's recommendation above.

I am in a similar situation as you. I (foolishly) thought syncing Square and QB (and I spent a lot of time submitting expenses, receipts, etc and linking my bank to QB) would be a good idea to keep better track of things. I also only use SQUARE as my POS and when I noticed sales were off by thousands of dollars come tax time in March after only 2 months of having my business I freaked out. There are many duplicate sales receipts in QB that do not show up in Square because they do not exist (and I have every invoice from square printed on paper because I am old school like that and KNEW something foolish could happen) I can NOT delete these duplicate "sales" in QB and started my business off with incorrect sales tax amounts and sales in QB. The frustration of having things off by thousands of dollars when I keep very good records of everything is immense. I would have to click on every transaction (hundreds) and manually delete just to find out it won't delete. I am simply thinking of deleting QB and closing this account. It has been a complete nightmare. You should be able to not only correct transactions but easily view and add to invoices, etc as you are trying to do.
