Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
Quickbooks Pro 2019
Hello there, Ppeterson.
I have the information you need to access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
A backup copy of QBO data can't be used and restored to an old desktop version. Also, know that the backup copy from the two software differs as they have different features.
Alternatively, you can move your books from QBO to QBDT through a migration tool. This allows you to access your data and keep track of your checks and balances after canceling your QBO account. However, you'll need a recent QBDT version for this process. With this, you can download a 30-day trial. Also, to understand how your books will move to QBDT, you can visit this page: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
Once you've installed QBDT on your device, let's begin by opening your company file. With this, head to File, select Close Company, and leave QBDT open as you go through the migration process.
After that, download the migration tool by signing in to your QBO account. Here's how:
Once done, scroll down to Steps 3 to 6 in this article to complete the migration process and cancel your QBO subscription: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
On the other hand, you can also export your QBO data and import them into QBDT manually. Although there are only specific lists and transactions that you can carry into your desktop company.
Moreover, please know that QBDT 2019 was already discontinued. Hence, connecting to our live technical support or other Intuit services that can be integrated with the program is no longer available. You can visit this page for more information: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.
Furthermore, consider scanning these resources to familiarize yourself with QBDT and begin managing your checks:

You can't use QB Desktop 2019 to convert your data from QB Online. You must use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 or a newer version and you can use it to access your historical data for good.
it doesnt work that way coming back
You will lose the g/l and a/r when you do this at a minimum.
Your balance sheet will be messed up.
all of this as the two are not compatible.
i ended up with the office of the president and told i was s--t out of luck on this maneuver
living in fear that 2022 is never looked at for my company
Live in hope that Intuit fades away
this was never explained to me when i converted from QBO enterprise to QBD enterprise.
i was just told to grin and bear it.
How long has this procedure been working?
intuit should pass away
