I am getting an application 10000 error when trying to process a customer's sales receipt. Anybody else ever get this or know what that is or how I fix it?

I am getting an application 10000 error when trying to process a customer's sales receipt. Anybody else ever get this or know what that is or how I fix it?

I want to stop this from happening to you, @J60.

I have various troubleshooting to help fix the 10000 error you've received in creating a Sales Receipt in QuickBooks Online (QBO). And happy to outline the steps below.

If you're creating the Sales Receipt inside QBO, I'd recommend logging in to your account through an incognito window. This way, we can verify if it's a browser-related issue.

Use the following hotkey:

  • Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  •  Control Option (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

Once logged in, re-create the transaction to verify if it's already performing well. If it works, return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on your keyboard to clear the cache.

If you're creating the transaction using a specific application, I'd advise reaching out to your app's support. They can further investigate the error and help you from there.

However, if you're a developer conducting tests, I suggest you contact our Intuit developer directly. Our developer can further examine the error in a safe place and provide troubleshooting steps to resolve the error.

To contact them, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Intuit Developer Support page and click your QuickBooks version in the list.
  2. Click Ask a Question and enter your concern in the box.
  3. If you don't have an account yet, the Create account page will open after clicking the Ask a Question
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Further, check out these articles below on how to personalize sales forms and create recurring transactions in QuickBooks:

Remember that you can always ask me about any topics or other processes within QuickBooks. I'm always ready to work with you again. Take care, J60.
