i can not open company file after Intuit upgraded to 2022

Who are "they"? Why did you need them to help upgrading your file?

After updating from 2021 to 2022 desktop I was unable to open the company file ..I contacted intuit and spend hours on the phone with customer agents who guided me via " Glance" in the attempt to open the file .. at one point it actually worked but after the agent deleted the 2021 file the company file could not be opened again.  Since then I had to send Intuit " special engineers " my company file and I was told it will take 3 to 5 days to work on getting it fixed .. unfortunately, as you probably can tell, I am not familiar with working on quickbooks trouble shooting .. Since then my company could not do payroll ( I had to handwrite the checks ) we are unable to pay invoices or even do the financial exchange between POS and Desktop.. i am devastated .. i greatly appreciate any suggestion/help ... Corey

What kind of error message did you encounter?

It says: 

We are sorry quickbooks encountering a problem when opening Company File 

......         Error Code (-6209.0)

As a side note the Quickbooks Agent changed ( renamed ) this file several times..

And at the end ( after the first 4 hours ) ..she lost connection with me ..in an email later she told me that she had IT problems ...and then another Agent said they had a horrible storm in the Philippines and offices were closed..

. I know this sounds like a nightmare for any business owner..It definitely is one for me.

Do you still have QBD 2021 on your machine? If you can still open your file without any issue, create a backup file and try to restore it on QBD 2022. If the same error persists, run the Very/Rebuild Data utility on your QBD 2021.

Unfortunately that is one of the other problem! ..after she (;QB Service Agent ) upgraded to 2022 ,  In stead of just moving the file she deleted the file ... 

When you upgrade your version, the system will create a backup folder automatically. You can try to find it also in your trash folder. Intuit support may have removed it, but you may still find it to restore. Just to make sure, are you able to create a dummy file or open the sample one on your new QBD 2022?

I see 2 files in the QB2021 BackupFiles Properties ..

But have no idea what to do with it ..as I mentioned I am good with the day to day data entry but have no clue when it comes to what we are talking about now .. 

..I was hoping that since I send the file ( the one that can not be opened) to the Intuit Engineers they can restore those files ..especially because I am paying for a yearly " Help" subscription..and on top of  it all this was caused by a intuit's customers Agent who tried to fix a " Bug" in the 2023 Desktop upgrade, that they will resolve my problem .. but I have not even heard back from them with an update.

... is there any outside Service available that I can hire to fix those Company files .? .

As of Friday December 17th, their partner contact center in Cebu, Philippines has had to temporarily close due to a typhoon which has caused flooding on site and widespread power outages and evacuations all over the country. At present, English-speaking users may experience higher than normal wait times on messaging and in Q&A on community.
