Welcome to the Community! I'd love to help you figure out which type of QuickBooks version you have.
If you're in the product, you can go to the top of the system and see the version and the year. Based on the details you gave it seems as though the version you have is a very old one.
Look into upgrading to one of our latest versions of QuickBooks Desktop so that the system can work properly.
