Hello there, @jna. I will help you get past the error 404 Page not found in QuickBooks Online to get you back up and running.

The 404 Page not found error indicates that the server cannot locate the web page you are trying to access. You can try some basic troubleshooting techniques to figure out what is wrong. We can begin by ensuring that your computer is connected to the internet and using a private browser to view QuickBooks Online. It usually resolves any browser-related issues.

Here's how to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If everything is working fine in the private browser, go to the original browser and delete the cache. You can alternatively use another compatible browser to access your account.

Here is how to clear your browser's cache:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click More.
  3. Choose More Tools, then Clear browsing data.
  4. Add a time range. Select All time to delete everything.
  5. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  6. Select Clear data.

Additionally, here is an article you can check in paying a contractor in QuickBooks Online: Pay a contractor with direct deposit.

Always know that you can get back to me anytime if you have additional questions about getting an error message in QuickBooks Online. I will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
