Thank you for patronizing QuickBooks products, Joe. Rest assured, you're able to transfer your data from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Let us first download and save your data from QBSE so you can copy them to QBO. To start, let's run your financial reports, so you'll be able to download them.
Here's how:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Select the report you want to download.
- Choose tax year from the dropdown.
- Click View or Download.
- Select the arrow icon, then Print or Download.
Next, you can now proceed to these steps to download your transactions:
- Go to the Transactions menu.
- Sort the transactions using the Type, Account, and Period dropdowns.
- Choose the Export icon. Please take note that receipts aren't exported, as they can be downloaded from specific transactions. Alternatively, download all of them for specific tax years from the Reports menu.
Since you already have a QBO subscription, you can now have your data copied into it. You can also refer to this article when connecting your bank and credit card accounts to QBO: Connect bank and credit accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I'll be sharing these links that will guide you in adjusting your settings in QBO to help you get set up your account:
Should you have any other queries regarding transferring data or concerns with QBO, feel free to drop by a comment. I'm here to lend a hand. Stay safe.
