I've lost the amount outstanding on the dashboard, how can I put that back

I can help you how to retrieve the lost outstanding amount on your dashboard in QuickBooks Online (QBO), James.

Before proceeding, would you mind if I ask where these outstanding amounts came from? Are these from the main dashboard or on the banking page? Providing us with additional information will be highly appreciated to help us address your concern effectively.

If you're referring to the widget containing the outstanding amount on your main dashboard, we can retrieve it if you accidentally deleted it.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Dashboards tab.
  2. Select the Customize Layout.
  3. Click on Add or Remove Widgets.
  4. Put a checkmark on the box to show it back.
  5. Once done, click Save.

I've attached screenshots for your reference:

Also, you can customize your desired view to focus on the widgets that matter most:

  1. Select and drag widgets to reorder them.
  2. Select and drag the sides of a widget to resize it. Note: Not all widgets are resizable.
  3. Select Done.

Additionally, the dashboard may appear differently for each team member, depending on their access rights.

On the other hand, if you're referring to the lost outstanding amount on the banking page in QBO, we can also have the option to show those bank accounts if you accidentally hide them:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the Account's dropdown.
  3. Click on Show Account Cards to put them back.
  4. If you want to reorder them, click on Reorder Accounts.
  5. Select the Pencil icon.
  6. Then, you can drag and reorder them.

For future reference, you can review this article to learn how to get the latest bank transactions if you don't want to wait for the scheduled download: Download the most recent bank and credit card transactions in QBO.

I've got your back to help if you need additional assistance retrieving your outstanding amount on the dashboard or any QuickBooks queries. Have a wonderful day.
