Import POs from QB2019 Mac to QB 2021 Mac

Upgraded to 2021 Desktop Mac and have been using it for a while now.  But lost my head and accidentally entered several POs in my 2019 version.  Is there a way to import them into the 2021 data file?

Import POs from QB2019 Mac to QB 2021 Mac

Thanks for posting here in the Community, ProfitStrategist.

I'm here to pass along some info so you're able to easily get those purchase orders from the 2019 file to your current 2021 QuickBooks Desktop file.

One option to consider is exporting the purchase orders from the 2019 version and importing them to the 2021 version with Excel. Here's how to get started:

1. Open the Customer/Vendor/Payroll center.
2. Select Excel dropdown and choose:
     - Export Customer/Vendor/Employee list if you want to export customer/vendor/employee data such as name, balances and contact information.
     - Export Transactions if you want to export transactions (either by name or transaction type).
3. In the Export window, choose whether to create a new worksheet or update an existing worksheet.
4. Select the Export button. QuickBooks opens MS Excel and you can edit the information as needed.

The following article offers additional info about importing and exporting Excel files.

You may also consider browsing available third-party apps that integrate directly with your account that will get this task done for you.

Please don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help in any way that I can.
