We have two main kits that we sell on a regular basis.
We have a 2HS upgrade kit that we sell for $1850, which includes the following items:
G5 2 headset package includes;
(1) G5 headset charging station, SN#:
(1) Power supply, G5 headset charging station
(2) G5 headset (Carrier and Pod)
(1) G5 carrier
(3) G5 battery, single
(1) Documentation package
Headset ID Tags
2-Year Service Program
(We purchase this kit as an assembly item from the vendor.)
We also have a special kit that we sell, that includes everything in the above kit/package, minus the charger and charger power supply, which we sell for $1750;
This package includes:
(2) G5 Headsets (Carrier & Pod)
(1) G5 Carrier
(3) G5 Batteries
(1) Documentation package
Headset ID Tags
2-Year Service Program
(We create this kit by pulling out the charger and power supply from the above ordered assembly item)
I have no clue how to pull the charger and power supply out of the prepurchased assembly item, so that I can add the charger/power supply to our inventory, and add our special kit to our assembly item inventory.
Right now, inventory on Quickbooks shows that we have -13 of our special kits, but 14 of our 2 headset upgrade kits. It also shows our Chargers as having an inventory number of -10.

Hi, AmandaMoen.
To remove the charger and power supply on your repurchased assembly items, you can adjust the quantity of the items. This process increases, decreases, and revaluations made in inventory to account for the amount or number of items received.
You need to create a separate account in your chart of accounts to track your adjustments. See the detailed steps below:
For the thorough steps about adjusting the inventory, check out this recommended article: Adjust your inventory quantity or value in QuickBooks Desktop.

So, as an addendum to this solution, need to make sure that you select all inventory parts/assemblies that are involved with this adjustment.
In our case, the following;
"G5 Headset Package, 2 HS" (The original assembly item) = subtract
"G5, SMI Special..." (our special assembly item) = add
"Charger, G5 - 5 slots" = add
"Power Supply, G5 Base/Charger" = add
Ie, we need to make 1 SMI special, we shall do the following adjustments;
(-1) "G5 Headset Package, 2 HS"
(+1) "G5, SMI Special..."
(+1) "Charger, G5 - 5 slots"
(+1) "Power Supply, G5 Base/Charger"
