Thanks sgeorgefl!
I'm attaching the way I have in the past plus adding a sceenshot so I have the documentation either way. I was wondering if others were having the same issues again today or the past week. I don't attach files to journal entries daily so it comes unexpectedly when I try to repeat the process I have used in the past.
The funniest thing though is that I cannot see the screenshot that I attached to the previous message. It just comes up as a white line at the top of my browser screen. Arrows up or down don't show it - just Esc and it at least gets me out.
Yes, sgeorgefl, I cannot view your screenshot, and I noticed this behavior when I tried to attach screenshots in November too. I suppose it's appropriate that on a QBO forum where we're discussing attachments not displaying properly, attachments don't display properly.
Yes I irony is not lost on me either! @sgeorgefl your attachment of a screen shot was sent to my downloads where I had to open the file to view it...almost exactly the same snafu we all suffered in November and again now in February. I was really hoping it was a one day glitch since it was the 6th, but alas it seems we maybe stuck in the same situation as November until March 6th!
And just like that on March 6th...ITS BAAAACK!
SMH, but happy to have the functionality back again.
Hope all y'all on this thread have a happy Monday!
QBO development - please keep this with any future updates and test for it functionality before releasing the update! We would all appreciate that!
Actually, Teamwrx, it started working again in late February for me. I now have written confirmation from the QBO "team" that this was a bug and not (as they told me in January) an intentional feature. Keeping my fingers crossed that it does not rear its ugly head again!
Good to know! I just use the attachments with my monthly close so I hadn't been checking. I did however go back to February and the attachments still go to downloads so I will need to go back and delete and reattach last months files.
Yes, that's been the worst part of this all along. It wouldn't be so bad if you could just continue to attach PDFs knowing that once the bug was fixed they would be OK. I try to attach invoices/receipts/deposit slips to every transaction in my checking register, so each time I discovered the bug, I simply started keeping the PDFs in a folder instead of uploading them. Then when it was fixed I spent a couple of hours attaching them. I hate to think how much work this is for someone who has dozens of attachments every day.
