Invoice import

I do not have sales tax enabled.

While I was able to import invoices today I got a strange error and either had to select OUT OF SCOPE or a string of letters/numbers.  Selecting the string did work and I was able to import the invoices, but this looks like another bug associated with the sales tax fiasco.

Invoice import

Welcome to Community, @smr360

I see that you're unable to import you're transaction due to an error in your sales tax. Let me help you on how to fix this concern.

Here's how:

  • Turn on your Sales tax:

    1. Go to Sales tax.
    2. Click Use Automatic Sales Tax.

  • In QuickBooks, you can only import specific fields. Thus, you need to remove the tax column on your spreadsheet and then Import
  • If you don't have a sales tax column in your spreadsheet yet the issue persists, I recommend you use your private browser to import your transactions.

Here are some shortcut keys that route you to your private browser:

  • Google Chrome, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS: Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Mac: ⌘ + Shift + N

You can visit this link for future reference if you have already imported your transactions:

Feel free to reply if you have any other concerns. Enjoy your day!

No way.  Not going to enable "Use Automatic Sales Tax".  I just fixed the sales tax issue and am not running the risk of messing things up again.  I'll keep doing what I'm doing as the import is essentially working.  Just trying to bring the error to light.
