Thank you for that information. However, I did attempt to use these features before posting here and the AI keeps sending me in circles. There is no option to Chat. And phone calls are not being returned. The information QB provided as to why my 1099NEC were rejected is contradictory it states:
Unfortunately, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has rejected one or more of your contractors' 2023
1099-NEC forms.
Here is more information:
Issue: Your business info doesn?t match the IRS records. Typically, this happens if the Business Name and business Tax ID (SSN or EIN) are not matching their records.
QB auto generates those forms and I verified the information before submitting, which is the same process we have done for years. If I am seeing them correctly on my end and my account information is correct in QB, then it is likely that the issue is in the submission process. I am aware that there were a number of others having issues with not being able to void submissions, as did I the first time. It took 10 days to be advised that they were rejected and for all of that time their status was "InAgency". So QB held those forms. WHY? Because they were having issues with their platform. Customers are aware of issues and reporting them. QB even delivered a quick pop-up about issues with the 1099 section when signing in. It is highly frustrating that I can not speak with a person and keep being sent in circles. I can not be the only customer experiencing this.

I efiled the rejects 1099s with another tax program and all were accepted by the IRS. It is on QuickBooks end!
Same here. Quickbooks has created so many issues for us with the 1099 submission process. They kept telling me to keep trying to submit my forms and each time they were rejected and each time they told me to void them. They either disconnected me after benginon hold for hours or told me they would call me back and never did. They could not give me specific answers as to why a handful were accepted and the rest (170) were rejected. They really should not offer this service if they do not understand it and how frustrating it is for so many. I used another service and it went smoothly - we received an email every step of the way up (sent, received, accepted, emailed and mailed)
Now my problem is that my vendors have received 1099 forms from Quickbooks even though they were rejected by the IRS and we are fielding phone calls and emails from our vendors. Not to mentiion that when I called to get a reimbursemnt for paying for the 1099's and not being able to submit (QB's refused the refund). I had one of the premium customer service reps tell me all of the 1099's were submitted and then when I questioned that statment she said only 10 were submitted. This is just a series of errors and misinformation that has caused so much stress for us and our vendors. I can not tell you have horrible this experience has been and they won't even take responsiblity for their lack of knowledge and the functionality of the 1099 process.
