Is there an option to buy higher level support for QBO?

Is there an option to buy higher-level support for QBO?

I have been using QB Desktop for 25+ years. I am an experienced business person. I have recently migrated to QBO. I have had to contact QBO Support on a few occasions over the past two weeks since migrating. I have found that requesting a call has been super easy - and I have received calls in just a few minutes. But, the quality of the support has been poor. The folks on the line are Tier 1 level. All have been very nice humans, but on multiple occasions it has taken 30+ minutes for them to understand what I am asking, then the need to "consult" with someone to get me an answer. And on a few occasions, the answer has been that is a known issue, or QBO doesn't offer that feature, or the new invoicing feature is not fully developed so you need to switch to the Old Layout, etc.

Having run an IT support business for 30 years, I do understand the place for Tier 1 support folks. But my skills are above their Tier 1 level, and they don't communicate well. If I need to call support, I would like to be able to talk to immediately reach a Tier 2 (or higher) support person. I would be willing to pay for such a service.

Is there an option to buy higher level support for QBO - either a subscription or a per-incident?

Is there an option to buy higher level support for QBO?

I am wondering with Quickbooks desktop pro if there is a nest level to talk to? I have had people who helped me find reports on c drive that I previously made but that I need to print. I cannot remember the exact steps of going public users or users then public or if I need to go into Intuit then find reports. About 2 months ago someone helped but now I can not reach anyone that seems to know. I need 2023 940 and w'3 or 2023

We appreciate you chiming into this thread, Dougc83. I'm here to ensure you can locate your previously filed 940 and W-3 forms in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can utilize the search feature from the upper right corner of your File Explorer to locate your tax forms from your C drive. If you still cannot find the forms, you can do a wild card search on your computer server. Here's how:

  1. Enter and open  File Explorer into the search field from the Windows Start menu.
  2. Choose My Computer or This PC from the navigation bar.
  3. Ensure including an asterisk (*) before the extension type to locate all the files from your desktop company.

However, if the issue persists after following the method above, you can contact our customer support team. They have access to essential tools to provide the forms you need. Also, please consider reviewing their support hours so you can reach them at your most convenient time.

Moreover, you can generate specific payroll reports to get valuable insights from your business and employees, which can help you plan your finances accordingly.

Notify us in the Community if you have additional questions when locating previously filed tax forms or other concerns related to QuickBooks Desktop. We'll be around to offer further assistance.

Is there an option to buy higher level support for QBO?

Hello there, @Dougc83.

I can provide information about your concern with the extension type of your payroll forms in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

QBDT uses different types of files to store different types of data. This is to easily locate the file, especially when your company files (QBW) and backup data files (QBB) are different file types.

As mentioned by my colleague, to locate your previously filed forms in QBDT, you can search it in the computer and ensure to include an asterisk (*) before the extension type to locate all the files from your desktop company. With that, you can use the qbstbl2.usa file extension to locate for W3, 940 and 501 forms. The File Type for that form is the US Tax Table file exclusive for Payroll.

To learn more about the different types of files in QuickBooks, you can refer to this article: File types and extensions used by QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm leaving this article for future reference in handling payroll reports, importing and exporting data in QuickBooks:

Tag me in the comment section if you have other payroll concerns or clarification with the extension type. I'm always here to assist you.
