I use item notes with a date stamp to track price increases. We are doing another price increase currently and the notes are not saving. I have run verified data and ran rebuild, no help. Please help.
Thanks!
Hi there, @stevestub.
Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've made. Let me provide you with another workaround to address the issue. This way, you can get back to your business.
To start, update QuickBooks to its latest release. This makes sure you have the most recent fixes and security updates. Here's how:
When you're done, try saving the notes again. If you're still getting the same result, repair QuickBooks using the QuickBooks Tools Hub.
Just run Quick Fix my program to fix common errors right away. You can follow this article for complete guidelines: Run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub.
In case you're only experiencing this in Multi-user mode, then we have an open investigation for that. If this was the case, contact our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. This way, they can your details to the list of affected users and notify you once the issue is fixed.
Moreover, you can use the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries feature in QuickBooks. This will help you edit multiple prices in the program.
Don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'm always ready to help.
Hi @stevestub,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the item notes concern you had the other day. Was it resolved?
Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Work Around
This workaround isn't ideal. I would prefer if Intuit would fix the problem, but I won't hold my breath. What I have found is when adding the note, I click on OK on the Notepad pop-up after adding my note. However, when it goes back to the Edit Item screen, I have to hit CANCEL not ok. This works for me every time. If I need to edit the item though, I have to enter the Edit Item screen twice, not ideal.
