Job Names

Hello,

I would like to force a blank space in front of a job name.  Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Thank You,

Judy

It gives me great joy to welcome you to the Community, Jbrownw. Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I understand how convenient it is for you to add a blank space in front of a job name. However, the option to do this is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. For the time being, I recommend suggesting feedback to our software engineers. They may add this feature to our future product enhancements.

To send feedback:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.

You may easily keep track of your sales and costs by using predefined client, job, and sales reports. If you wish to personalize job reports to focus on the information that is most important to your company, please see this article: Customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

There isn't a way to do that. QuickBooks always 'trims' names and other list records and removes leading and trailing spaces.

Why do you want to add a leading space? Perhaps there's another way...

Thank you for the reply to my question.  I was having a problem with another program that integrates with QuickBooks.  The Job Name was entered wrong in the other program.  I was trying all possible ways to get it worked out. They finally fixed it today.

Thanks
